- | The MoErgo Glove80 is an 80-key split columnar keyboard.
- | |||
- | ==== Description ====
- | ==== Construction ====
- | |||
- | === Case and Internals ===
- | |||
- | Each case for one half of the Glove80 is made of 2 parts of ABS-PC plastic, which is some blend of ABS and PC. Each half weighs 300 grams.
- | |||
- | The exact composition is unknown. Each half is held together with 9 philips screws which sit in threaded inserts. The Glove80 also has 6 threaded inserts meant for the adjustable legs, which are M4 threaded rods, and 2 inserts meant to allow the user to install a custom sidecar.
- | |||
- | The Glove80 is not hot-swappable,
- | |||
- | Each half has a Nordic Semiconductor NRF52840 chip.
- | |||
- | === Tenting === | ||
- | |||
- | By adjusting the legs, the user is able to change the tenting angle of the keyboard. Proponents of this tenting mechanism point out that it does not add to the height of the keyboard and that it allows for very small adjustments in the tenting angle, while critics point out that it is tedious to adjust and does not support high tenting angles.
- | |||
- | === Keycaps === | ||
- | |||
- | The keycaps are made of white translucent POM plastic with legends applied via laser marking. They are MCC profile, which is a cylindrical variant of the MBK profile. They use stems compatible with choc v1 switches and use "choc spacing",
- | |||
- | All keycaps have an identical profile: they are 1u and do not even feature homing bumps.
