The switch was likely in production from as early as 1983((Earliest sighting: IBM "Pingmaster")) to at least 1989((As replacement switches, with short contact module)). The switch is by far the most common in the SKCC series. | The switch was likely in production from as early as 1983((Earliest sighting: IBM "Pingmaster")) to at least 1989((As replacement switches, with short contact module)). The switch is significantly less common than its sibling, [[switch:alps_skcc_cream|SKCC Cream]]. It was also available in an LED variant. The LED version of the switch has a different housing that allows for a bent metal contact to be inserted over the top of the switch. Two springs are welded or soldered to the contact and the LED is suspended between them. |
