**Cherry MX Lock** is an alternate action switch in the Cherry MX Series.

====Characteristics====
The switch shares the same mount, sense method, and appearance as the Cherry MX family, but is completely different otherwise.

The locking mechanism is achieved through a small gear-like structure fit onto the stem that latches onto the top housing. Due to the locking mechanism, the LED cutout is also offset.

====Additional Information====
The switch was first introduced in 1984 and was discontinued on September 30th, 2015.

Three variants are known to exist:
  *Gray top housing, black stem, black bottom housing (Original)
  *Black top housing, black stem, black bottom housing (Hirose)
  *Black top housing, clear stem, black bottom housing (Variant used when gray plastic was discontinued)
