The Atari 8088 was the keyboard for the Atari PC1, PC2 and PC3 8088 personal computer. It uses Hi-Tek 725 linear switches and PBT dye-sub keycaps.

Description

The Atari 8088 PC line was Atari's first IBM PC compatible computer, introduced in January 1987.
As was common at the time, the keyboard was based on the IBM PC AT keyboard and used its layout. It was produced by NMB and Hi‑Tek and uses the latter's series 725 linear switches.

Construction

Case and Internals

Talk about the case and what's inside the case! Such as PCB, plate or no plate, daughterboards, etc

Keycaps

The keycaps are PBT dye-sub and were produced by NMB in their OEM profile. The keycaps use a very distinctive stepping on the outer side of the modifiers as was usual for NMB keycaps of the time.
