Description

The Datacomp DFK-777 was one of Datacomp's AT keyboard models. It often shows up rebranded by computer brands such as Computerland and Ultra From Imagineering1). It's been documented to come with two different switches, SKCM Blue Alps and Futaba MA2)
It features a AT/XT switch and DIN-5 cable.

Construction

Case and Internals

The keyboard consists of 3 parts. A top case, a bottom case and a internal assembly.

The top case externally features a sort of raised “ridge” around the alpha cluster which turns into a slope around the top and acts as a pen holder. The top right features a locklight sticker.
Internally it features stand offs for screws with brass screw inserts, stand offs for holding the case in place and the flip out feet mechanism.

The bottom case is made out of a painted metal which can rust which implies it's made out of steel.
Externally it features a cutout for the AT/XT switch, sticker for said switch, S/N sticker, country of origin stamped in the bottom right and 6 total feet, 4 being non-slip feet and 2 flip out feet for adjusting the keyboard's angle.
The Futaba variant features a extra sticker with the keyboard's FCC ID on it
Internally it features the PCB for the AT/XT switch and a couple pieces of rubber and tape to prevent the assembly PCB from shorting.

The assembly consists of a PCB and painted metal switch plate. The switch plate can rust which implies it's made of steel.
On the back of the PCB there is a cable soldered onto it which connects to the AT/XT switch.

Keycaps

The keycaps are made of doubleshot ABS on both variants. The Futaba variant use distinctive “tombstone” keycaps and the Alps version uses regular Alps OEM profile keycaps.
