Alps SKCC Double Action is a double action switch in the Alps SKCC Series.
Characteristics
The switch follows the general characteristics of the SKCC family, consisting of an upper and lower housing, contact module, stem, and spring.
However, there are many additional parts and changes. The top and bottom housings are unique, fitting together entirely differently to the rest of the series. There is a flat, pressure based second stage at the bottom of the switch, similar to that seen in Alps SKCP Double Action. Feedback for the second stage is produced via a leaf spring on top of the top housing that is pressed by the slider at the very bottom of the travel.
Additional Information
There is another version of this switch with an amber stem that appears to have been present in arcade machines2). Its part number, if any, is unknown.
The switch was likely introduced between 1983 and 19853) and existed as late as 19944). It is unknown what became of this switch in the third generation of the series.
